School Lunches

We are delighted to be working with The Pantry as our new school catering provider.

The Pantry is passionate about providing high-quality food made from carefully sourced ingredients, with clear traceability from farm to fork. Their menus are nutritionally balanced, filling, and appetising.

Children can look forward to:

  • Menus made with over 75% freshly prepared ingredients
  • Two portions of vegetables served with every meal
  • Freshly made bread baked daily
  • Unlimited visits to the salad bar, featuring a variety of fresh options
  • Nutritious homemade dishes, including the special recipe Pantry Tomato Sauce, which is used in many of their dishes and contains 6 hidden herbs and veggies – supercharging school lunches with the nutrients children need to support growth and development
  • Freshly baked desserts containing at least 50% fruit or vegetables – and they still taste like a treat!
  • Exciting theme days, competitions, promotions and special events throughout the year

Home Packed Lunches

If you still opt to send a packed lunch, please note we encourage a healthy lunchbox. Please see the links below for ideas for healthy lunch box ideas. Please make sure there are no nuts, fizzy drinks, chocolate items, crisps or sweets to ensure packed lunches are of the same nutritional quality as the lunches provided and we are safeguarding other children in school who may have allergies.

Universal Free School Meals 

Universal Free School Meals (UFSM) are offered for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 regardless of their ability to pay. These meals need to booked on ParentPay. 

Free School Meals

From the start of the 2026 to 2027 academic year, FSM eligibility is being expanded to all children from households in receipt of Universal Credit regardless of household earnings..  Free School Meals are available to pupils in receipt of, or whose parents are in receipt of, one or more of the following benefits:

    Universal Credit

    Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

 

A pupil is only eligible to receive a free school meal where both:

    a claim for this support has been made

    their eligibility has been verified by the school where they are enrolled or by the local authority

 

Households may also be entitled to a meal if they:

    are in receipt of income-related Employment and Support Allowance

    receive the guarantee element of Pension Credit

    meet criteria set out in separate guidance for families with `no recourse to public funds'
