School Lunches
School lunches are cooked and served on site in our well-equipped kitchen by ABM Catering. Meals cost £2.75 per day (£13.75 per week). Five options are offered, including: Vegetarian, Halal, Jacket Potato, and Picnic Lunch/Sandwiches, as well as the Main Meat-based Meal - so there are plenty of options! The menu changes each week.
Parents/carers need to use ParentPay to book all school meals for their children by 9.00am at the latest. Ideally, you should order meals the night before, or at the weekend for the week ahead. This applies to Universal Free School Meals, Free School Meals and paid school meals.
Parents are issued with usernames and passwords for each individual child once they have started school. Once in ParentPay, you can link your children to one account.
Important: you still need to create a ParentPay account for ordering all meals, even if you are eligible for a 'free' school meal.

Any parent still wishing to pay cash for school meals may pay using PayPoint at local shops – full details are included in the account activation letter you are given on joining the school.
Home Packed Lunches
If you still opt to send a packed lunch, please note we encourage a healthy lunchbox. Please see the links below for ideas for healthy lunch box ideas. Please make sure there are no nuts, fizzy drinks, chocolate items, crisps or sweets to ensure packed lunches are of the same nutritional quality as the lunches provided and we are safeguarding other children in school who may have allergies.
Universal Free School Meals
Universal Free School Meals (UFSM) are offered for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 regardless of their ability to pay. These meals need to booked on ParentPay.
Free School Meals
Your child will be eligible for Free School Meals if you or your partner receive either:
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
If you do not qualify for most benefits (also known as having ‘no recourse to public funds’), your child may still be eligible for free school meals. Please contact the school to discuss this.
To apply for Free School Meals, please bring your NI number into the school office and a member of staff will help you to apply. Alternatively, follow the link below. We encourage all parents to check eligibility for FSM as soon as they start school to ensure the correct funding is received by the school.
